Briefing styles
Tune Catch Me Up and your digest with role presets or a custom instruction.
Your briefing style controls how AI summaries are written for you. It shapes both Catch Me Up and your email digest, so you set it once and it applies everywhere.
At a glance
- Controls how your AI summaries are written, applied to both Catch Me Up and your email digest.
- Five presets: The Essentials, Strategy & Markets, Deep Technical, Opportunities & Threats, and User Impact & Trends.
- Or write a Custom instruction, limited to 500 characters.
- Set it at /plus/settings under Briefing Style, then Save Settings.
Presets
Pick the preset that matches how you think about AI:
| Preset | Focus |
|---|---|
| The Essentials | Balanced overview of the most important developments. |
| Strategy & Markets | Strategic impact, market moves, and business implications. |
| Deep Technical | Architecture decisions, benchmarks, and engineering trade-offs. |
| Opportunities & Threats | Opportunities, threats, funding signals, and moves to watch. |
| User Impact & Trends | User impact, feature trends, and adoption patterns. |
Custom instruction
Choose Custom to write your own instruction instead of using a preset — for example, focusing on a specific industry or signal. The instruction is limited to 500 characters. Your summaries follow that style while staying factual.
Where to set it
- Go to /plus/settings.
- Under Briefing Style, select a preset, or choose Custom and enter your instruction.
- Select Save Settings.
The change applies to your next Catch Me Up briefing and your next email digest. To see it in action right away, run Catch Me Up.
